From August 2021-present I have worked exclusively with one client; it has been an extremely rewarding time, but her needs have decreased of late, and I am now seeking an additional client. From July 2017-June 2021, I worked as a direct care provider at a local nonprofit, serving the needs of adults with I/DD and physical disabilities, the majority of whom were senior citizens. The services our clients received included hygiene support, light housekeeping, grocery shopping support, medication management, and assistance with facilitating doctor visits, accessing local resources and social events, among others. From January 2015-November 2015, I worked as a live-in caregiver for my aunt, who was experiencing blindness, short-term memory loss and communication challenges. I also assisted several other seniors in our community with transportation, grocery shopping, companionship, light housekeeping and basic technological support.
