I've offered in-home care for over eight years, and I am experienced supporting with transfers, bathing, dressing, medication management, oral and PEG tube feeding, transportation, and basic physical therapy support. I'm experienced in memory care and care for those with degenerative neuromuscular conditions. I'm a quick learner and a deep listener with a kind and caring presence. I thrive when working with those who like a balance between companionship and independent personal space. I am dedicated both to respecting boundaries and to offering physical and emotional support without judgment. Outside of caregiving, I offer spiritual care for grief at the Portland Grief House. I love working with families to craft rituals and make meaning on the other side of loss. Jojo has been a caregiver for my parents for the past two years. Jojo approaches caregiving with a positive, compassionate attitude, and has an amazingly gentle and calming presence. During the time they worked with us, Jojo adapted as our needs changed, transitioning from primarily providing companionship care, to providing assistance with daily living activities, to helping with the transition towards death. Both of my parents have now passed, so we no longer have need for in-home senior care, although I would hire Jojo again in a heartbeat. Jojo feels like part of our family and will truly be missed. Not only was Jojo capable and loving with my parents, but they were also supportive and loving of my whole family. I cannot recommend Jojo highly enough.
