About Kelsea

I like working with kids because it's just a fun way to spend a work day, creating a safe space while facilitating learning and curiosity in their environment. I love helping them understand their big feelings. I learn as much from them as they do from me. I started working with kids as an assistant teacher at a preschool 7 years ago. I worked in preschools for about 2 years before I made the switch to nannying. I loved working with kids as a teacher, but I felt that the large class sizes did not allow me to provide each child with the level of attentiveness that working with individual families does. The majority of my experience in preschools is with ages 3 months to 4 years. As a nanny, I have worked with ages 6 months to 7 years with families that have 1-3 children. One thing you should know about me is that I love to find learning opportunities in organic experiences, such as counting flowers that we find on a walk, or discussing colors and shapes that exist in our environment.
