About Katie

Hello! I recently moved to Arlington Virginia in order to pursue my doctoral degree, in clinical psychology, at George Washington University. In May 2016 I graduated from Temple University's Honors College (3. 84 GPA) and the Honors Research Program with a B. A. in Psychology and minor in Communication Disorders. The past two years I have assisted with research at Brown University working with mentally distressed teenagers on an inpatient unit. During the past year, I participated in a volunteer organization called "Walking School Bus" where I, and another volunteer, was responsible for walking approximately 4-10 children (grades k-5) to school. In college, I was a Big Sister in Big Brother Big Sister where I aimed to cultivate new activities to encourage the growth of my little sister in her educational/home environment. Finally, I have cared for my Down syndrome uncle since I was 15 years old (9 years). Given my past experiences, I am able care for your child and be a role model.
