About Katie

Empowering students to reach their full potential through personalized, creative instruction is my primary goal. With 10 years of experience, I specialize in English, Test Preparation, Art, Special Education, and Study Skills for all levels from elementary through college. I foster an engaging, supportive, and patient environment where learning feels like an adventure. Because I navigate life with ADHD, I am highly sensitive to unique learning styles. I observe how you learn best--whether visually, auditorily, or through tactile methods--and adapt my approach accordingly. I break complex concepts into manageable steps and integrate play, crafts, or storytelling to keep sessions dynamic. I also prioritize regular communication with parents to ensure we are aligned. Ultimately, building a strong, supportive rapport that makes discovery enjoyable is what I find most rewarding, and I look forward to embarking on this learning journey with you.
