About Kathi

I'm passionate about unlocking every student's potential through personalized support. For years, I've enjoyed creating engaging and patient learning environments where students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. I actively listen to students and adapt my teaching with visual aids, hands-on activities, and discussions. I connect challenging topics to their interests, celebrate small successes, and break down complex problems. Communication is essential, so I maintain open dialogue with students and parents to ensure optimal results. Witnessing those "aha!" moments and seeing confidence blossom is the most rewarding aspect of being a tutor. I have a college degree and can help with Math, English, Sports & Fitness, Special Education, Study Skills, and History at the elementary level. I also have a car, and I am CPR and First Aid trained. I'd love to discuss how I can help your student succeed!
