About Kate

I like working with kids because I enjoy helping them learn , grow , and feel safe while having fun. I also find it rewarding to build trust with children and be someone they feel comfortable around. I often work with kids at my job while working and they always bring me the biggest smile. A few interesting things you should know about me is that I graduated from Thomas Dale High School in 2023, I was able to graduate a year early! I have worked at Johnston Willis hospital on the Surgical Care Unit and now VCU Medical Center in the Neuroscience ICU. Before my interest in the medical field , I was a cashier / waitress at Pietros Italian Restaurant in Chester VA. My child care skills include: • Child Supervision • Preparation of simple snacks/ meals • Diaper changing if necessary • First Aid Awareness • CPR certified • Reading with children • Attentive Supervision • Encouraged learning through play • Following household rules • Calming and comforting & many more.
