About Karyssa

Hello! I am a medical student and am currently taking a year to complete a Master's in Public Health in San Diego. I am looking to tutor during this time because I have a passion for teaching and working with kids! For 5 years during and after college, I worked at an after-school program for underserved youth K-12, though mostly worked with K-4. I am comfortable tutoring all subjects K-4, and some subjects in the middle-high school range, including English, Spanish, and Social Studies. I have also helped high school students with college applications. I prioritize meeting students where they are at when tutoring, and like to spend time getting to know how individual students learn best.
