About Karla

For over 10 years, I've been helping students unlock their potential. I am a certified teacher with a college degree. My approach involves creating an engaging and supportive learning environment tailored to each student's unique style. I vary my teaching strategies with visual aids, hands-on activities, and discussions. I connect challenging topics to real-world examples and celebrate small successes. Open communication is essential for building trust between myself, students, and parents. Seeing a student's confidence blossom as they grasp new skills is the most rewarding part of my work. I am currently a math and reading specialist for grades K-6. I am comfortable tutoring Math, writing and reading and I would love to help you achieve your academic goals!
