About Karina

Would prefer to start September 20th! I am passionate about working with kids because one day I will have my own! It is very important to me that children's safety--physical, mental, emotional, etc--are first priority. I am a graduate student at George Fox University for Counseling. Mental and emotional wellbeing is a core aspect of my life. I'd describe my personality as curious, responsible, and confident. I like working with kids because they challenge you to be in the present moment! I started working with kids when I was 19 years old. But I'm the oldest daughter of 4 so I grew up taking care of my younger siblings. In my spare time, I like to read books on parenting and relationships! I also enjoy hiking, being with horses, and spending quality time with my partner. One thing you should know about me is that I am not afraid of uncomfortable conversations. We need them to grow! I would love to get to know you and your family to see if we would be a good fit!
