Mattie is an unbelievable caretaker, teacher and coach. She is kind, personable and a true delight to anyone she meets. She meets students and children where they are at emotional and has the ability to work with them with compassion. She also holds children to a high standard, not for control, but rather because she wants them to feel the joy of accomplishment in doing their best. I was so fortunate to have Mattie be a tutor for my two teenage boys and she quickly became part of the family. My sons were struggling in their own unique ways with school and life. Mattie became the support I needed to help coach my children into social and emotional well-being. They ended the school year with grades they were proud of and goals they reached and no small part of that was due to Mattie’s guidance. I would have kept her on forever life moved her forward. Anyone would benefit greatly to have Mattie in the care of their children.
