I like working with kids because they're amazing kiddos who are simply learning how to navigate themselves and the world, and it's an eye opening experience to witness and to be apart of! I'm looking for a job that offers flexibility for a college student that prioritizes balance in academics, work, and personal adventures! As I do not have a car, finding a family that is close to local transportation is preferred. I started working with kids when I was about 13, starting as a babysitter. I now currently work at an outdoor adventure site as a summer camp counselor that hosts kids from 7-15 yrs old. One thing you should know about me is that I am best with kids when phones or other devices are not a consuming factor of their lives - but I also strive to create a fun atmosphere that keeps kiddos engaged and "forgetful" of screens. However, at the end of a long day, screen time is totally understandable - I just prefer to engage and not monitor on the job.
