I am an English language arts teacher that has taught all grades 9-12. I have received my master's degree for teaching secondary English from Lewis & Clark college. I have taught a wide range of students from MLL/ELD students who spoke little to no English to college bound students. I have a student centered approach to my teaching style that emphasizes building relationships and helping students reach their full potential. I specialize in English, but I am very capable in other subjects as well. I enjoy what I do everyday; I have been teaching for 5 years now. I started tutoring when I was student teaching in my classroom I always help students with their math, history, and other subject work when they ask. I still practice this now.
