About Julissa

Hello Families! My name is Julissa, and I'm a bilingual (English/Spanish) school counselor currently working in an elementary school, with over 12 years of experience in education. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling with a background in psychology from NYU. I find my work incredibly rewarding and am looking to take on babysitting roles to continue supporting children and families in a more individualized setting. I provide a safe, engaging, and structured environment, and naturally incorporate social-emotional support, helping children manage feelings, improve listening, and build positive behaviors. If needed, I can also provide light academic support for kindergarten and 1st grade students. My approach is warm, patient, and encouraging, with a focus on building confidence and small, meaningful progress. I'm available for after-school and weekend support and would love to connect!
