About Kayla

Hello! My name is Kayla, and I am a Hunter College graduate. I have my Bachelors degree in Developmental Psychology and my masters degree in School Counseling. I started by watching my younger brother, and then began babysitting for kids. I then moved on to being a camp counselor. As a camp counselor, I supervised a group of 12-15 children. I helped train other counselors, lead and planned activities. As a childcare provider, I enjoy sharing my love of the outdoors and creativity/art with kids. Over the last few years, I've worked primarily with newborns and toddlers, but I love kids of all ages. In addition, I interned as a school counselor in elementary & high schools as apart of my fieldwork. I really enjoy seeing how children's minds work and think there is so much we can learn from children! I look forward to meeting you and your family and hopefully not only being just a babysitter but also a friend.
