About Birch

I'm a teacher and nanny with over 10 years of experience and a Master's in Early Childhood Special Education. I'm also trained as a birth and postpartum doula. I've worked with children from infancy through school age in both classroom and private home settings, including nanny shares and full-time family positions. I previously taught in Reggio Emilia and Montessori-inspired schools and bring that developmental perspective into my nanny work. I love supporting social-emotional growth, encouraging independence, and creating playful, engaging learning opportunities throughout the day. I see children as capable, curious individuals and enjoy helping them build confidence, problem-solving skills, and strong relationships. I'm reliable, patient, and empathetic, and I value building trusting relationships with both children and parents. I especially enjoy working with families long-term and supporting children as they grow and develop.
