About Julie

Empowering elementary students to discover the joy of learning is the cornerstone of my six years of tutoring experience. I specialize in Math and English, focusing on building confidence and critical thinking rather than simple memorization. By observing how a student interacts with new material, I tailor my approach using visual aids, discussions, or hands-on activities to suit their unique style. I keep lessons engaging by connecting complex concepts to real-world interests and breaking challenges into manageable steps. I believe clear, consistent communication with parents is essential to foster a collaborative environment. Nothing compares to the reward of witnessing a student's "aha!" moment as they master a difficult skill. I am comfortable working with pets and am happy to meet at your local library or community center. I truly look forward to helping your child grow and succeed in their academic journey.
