Hello, Growing up I had a difficult time in school. I found myself spending hours on my homework because I couldn't understand the concepts I learned earlier that day. It made me feel like a failure for being unable to do what my peers could, which caused insecurities that set me back years because I didn't think I had what it takes to go back to school. Luckily with enough support I found my way there and learned the importance of constructive problem solving. It was my own tutor that helped me see that it's not about knowing the answers so much as being able to find the solutions by recognizing the principles of the problem. Now I am at the top of my class, participating in a program I spent a year competing for! This is why as a tutor, my goal is to teach, not how to memorize, but to utilize learning tools and strategies so that when facing a difficult problem they have the skills to find the answers and the strength to recognize if they need help.
