About Jordan

I have been working in education since 2015. I started teaching in New York where I worked at a Montessori and IB school. There, I led creative writing workshops and taught English in accordance to Common Core standards. After moving back to Hawaii, I got a job teaching middle and high school English at a small, private IB school where I eventually became Department Chair of the English department. I pride myself in tailoring my curriculum to the individual needs of the student while making it engaging and rewarding for them. I want all of my students to find the value in reading and writing from a practical standpoint while also helping them find books they actually enjoy and completing writing assignments that allow them to exercise their creativity. I pride myself in meeting students where they are at in order to help them grow and flourish into a confident and capable learner.
