About Jasmine

I'd describe my personality as reliable, communicative, and authentic. I like tutoring because learning can be a very fun experience if given the proper tools to succeed. Each child has different learning styles that aren't always aligned with the way their teachers present the information so sometimes they need some extra help applying the material in a way that makes sense to them. I started tutoring during undergrad. I began working as a literacy tutor in an elementary school and then I transitioned to a college-level organic chemistry tutor at UC Berkeley. In my spare time, I like to bake, go on runs/hikes, read and go thrifting. One thing you should know about me is I really value communication and parent input. I'm always open to focusing on whatever the parent thinks is best and am always happy to walk through lesson plans with parents. My skills include patience, active listening, and empathy.
