About Matt

Hey there! I'm Matt, I've been working with kids for over 10 years in school settings, mostly with children in special education classes, but I've also substituted for general education classes of all ages. Most of my employment history has involved a great deal of teaching or tutoring. I myself love learning. I read books and articles every day because I believe that education is power and the world is wide! I attended UCSC for my bachelors degree in Psychology. I'm also a musician. I play piano, guitar, violin, bass, and drums and I'd love to share that with you! I'd describe my personality as attentive, curious, and funny. I'm looking for a job that makes use of my desire to help people. In my spare time, I like to read, write music, write poetry, hang with friends, go to the park, play shows, cook, and go to shows! My skills include being patient, trying to contextualize the information in ways that are more easily comprehended, and using examples to illustrate a point.
