About Janessa

Hello! I am an empathetic, communicative, and vibrant Nanny and House Assistant. I have been working with children off and on since I was 15. I started by helping out my parents with my youngest brother, which led to helping several families in our neighborhood and running a small daycare of 6 kids out of my garage at age 18. Now at age 26, I work in a state-licensed childcare facility and currently have 2 years of experience as a toddler and infant teacher. I am passionate about caring for infants and toddlers, I use the RIE approach for babies under 24 months and use constructivist parenting techniques (aka gentle parenting) for children 24 months and older. I love teaching children emotional regulation skills and building their confidence every day! I look forward to getting to know you!
