If you're looking for a nanny who does more than the basics with your child, but actively seeks to foster their creative, intellectual, and interpersonal strengths through imaginative play and encouragement, then I'm the nanny for you! With a background in early childhood education through the award winning organization Jumpstart For Young Children, I attained over 300 hours of intensive hands-on training in interpersonal communication and creative development teaching children, ages 3-7 through AmeriCorps. In addition to babysitting my cousin growing up, I was a nanny for a very silly, creative, and intellectually oriented 5-7-year-old child for 2 years before leaving for college. I was very sad to leave, but now that I am out of college and working on freelance work, I would love to create a lasting bond with a new family. Through college I have taught both Journalism and ESOL to young adults. I have also spent 3 years of self-study in various fields of early childhood development from Montessori and Waldorf teaching styles and Po Bronson's work in early childhood psychology.
