About Helen

Hi! My name is Helen, and I'm a caring, patient, and dependable caregiver with a diverse background working with children, youth, adults, and individuals with disabilities. I have a Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy, which gave me extensive experience working with people with a variety of physical, mental, emotional, and social needs. My experience includes working at summer camps with adults with disabilities and working in a daycare with infants and young toddlers . I've m worked with at-risk youth in the community in after-school program and summer program settings. I also have experience teaching English abroad and math to 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students at a bilingual school in Costa Rica. I have an intermediate level of Spanish. I have experience as an activities assistant in a nursing home, and I a currently work as a K-8 substitute teacher.
