About Gwyneth

I am a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. I care for patients with amputations, stroke, dementia, hip/knee replacement, edema, etc. My primary responsibility is to help train patients to perform their activities of daily living (dressing, bathing, toileting, grooming, feeding, etc.)after a life altering circumstance (fall, accident, medical reason.) Although I have also worked in pediatrics, I prefer working with the geriatric population. I am an avid listener who stays present in the conversation with the elders. One of my main focuses is music therapy to improve brain function and slow down the progression of dementia. I really enjoy the music of their generation, and have a vast library of music to share, triggering fond memories and dialogue about their past.
