Guadalupe has been God sent. My dad is 92 and a complete train wreck. I take care of him mostly with help from my brother and it’s exhausting in every way. I needed someone to fill in some time when I leave for work and to keep him company. In all honesty, he needed that 1:1 attention. Over the past several weeks, Guadalupe has cared for my dad like her own family. He gets excited to hear that she’s coming. She keeps him clean, medicated, fed, and engages with him. And that’s what he needed the most. The last week, and especially the lasts several days, have been emotionally and physically tough. Yet, she cares for him in the same loving manner that I would if not more. I don’t know how much longer dad will be with us but I know that Guadalupe will be here too! She’s simply an amazing, capable, skilled, and compassionate human being that I trust with my dad and my home. I appreciate her and am blessed to have her in our lives!
