Experience: 6 yrs
Hello! I'm Geraldine (Gigi) I'm a 24-year-old educator from Colombia, now living in Cincinnati. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Education & Literature, along with specialized training in emotional development. With over 6 years of experience (ages 1-7), I focus on nurturing your child's world with love and purpose. I've worked as a full-time nanny in the U. S., where I've mastered: • Developmental Support: Healthy meal prep and consistent routines. • Educational Fun: I love reading, creative arts, and outdoor exploration. I can also provide a fun Spanish immersion experience. • Emotional Growth: Helping children build independence and emotional regulation in a calm, safe environment. I'm described as patient, attentive, and highly trustworthy. I have my own reliable vehicle and excellent U. S. references. I'm pet-friendly, comfortable with light housekeeping, and looking for a long-term, full-time position. I'd love to connect and learn more about your family's needs.
Gigi has been working with us these past few months and she genuinely feels like a part of our family. We hired her to nanny for our 2 year-old son who was unable to attend daycare due to a biting problem. Gigi has a great understanding of toddler development and amazing patience and dedication. Our son is now returning to daycare with glowing reviews from staff. Not only has he learned sharing and taking turns, but he is now counting and recognizing letters in both Spanish and English (we are bilingual and asked Gigi to communicate in both languages with our son). Every day I’m surprised with all he has learned. She has helped on occasion with our 4 year old as well and has no difficulty managing both boys together. My boys absolutely adore her and are excited to see her every morning. Gigi communicates well with us. She always asks clarifying questions to make sure she understands and often goes above and beyond when we ask something of her. She also collaborates in our son’s care, making suggestions for outings, activities, or supplies that would help her to best achieve the goals we set for him. We only needed her for a short period of time, but would hire her again without hesitation and would recommend her wholeheartedly to any family looking for a nanny.
