About Gavia

Hello! My name is Gavia, and I recently relocated to Portland to pursue a master's in Academic Counseling. I am currently an eldercare provider, hoping to find other part-time opportunities to work with students. As an academic coach I supported elementary school children and their teachers in tutoring, in class instruction/subbing, and standards-aligned zoom/in person STEAM lessons. I also acted as an instructional aide at an alternative high school for students with learning and behavioral challenges, working closely with teachers and counseling personnel to create individualized support plans. I especially love teaching reading/writing, science topics, math, and test prep! I am available Mon/Tues until 2pm, and all day Wed/Thurs/Fri.
