About Aleza

Hi! I'm a patient, supportive tutor with a PhD in psychology, specializing in academic motivation and study strategies. I work with middle school, high school, college, and adult learners, especially students who feel stuck. I focus on study skills, research methods, and statistics, and help students break down complex material, build effective strategies, and gain confidence. I specialize in working with neurodivergent students, including those with ADHD and dyslexia. As someone who personally overcame these challenges while earning my PhD, I bring both professional expertise and lived experience. I help students find approaches that actually work for how they learn. Sessions are collaborative, supportive, and tailored to each student. I aim to not only improve academic performance, but also help students feel more capable, motivated, and in control of their learning. I help students build skills that last far beyond a single assignment or test.
