About Fiona

I have a BA in Creative Writing & English Literature and an MA in International Journalism, with a professional background in television, media and communications. I can help elementary-age students with reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, writing assignments, homework and general English support. I like tutoring because I love seeing a child gain confidence when something finally clicks. I enjoy finding different ways to explain things, making learning engaging and fun while each child feels supported and capable. I started tutoring when COVID hit and I began homeschooling my own children. In my spare time, I love to read and write for my Substack, work on my cinematic storytelling reels on Instagram, watch one of my daughters compete in tennis tournaments, and support my other daughter as she performs on stage. One thing families should know about me is that I am honest, dependable and take what I do seriously.
