About Essence

Experience: 3 yrs

Hello my name is Essence I am 19 years old and currently in my freshman year at UNC Charlotte, I'm majored in Kinesiology and Minored in Early Childhood Education. I have been working with kids since the age of 15 and I currently work in a Child Development center. I'd describe my personality as caring, calm and easy going I like working with kids because it has always been a passion of mine, I enjoy teaching them and watching them light up as they learn! I started working with kids when at 15 as a camp counselor and have been working with them ever since. In my spare time, I like to read and take nature walks.

Essence is amazing with my kids! I have a 3 year old and an 8 year old, and they both absolutely love her. They’re always asking when she’s coming back, which I think says a lot about how much they enjoy being around her. They’re always happy and excited when she comes over. My 1 year old nephew also comes over sometimes, and he loves her too. Essence is so sweet, caring, and patient with all of them. It’s such a good feeling knowing the kids are with someone they love and feel comfortable with
