About Emmy

I worked as a clinical social worker in Lane County for three years. I worked as a skills trainer, meaning I helped build coping and life skills in a real-world environment. I have experience with youth aged two to teens and extensive knowledge of child development. I love to incorporate nature, science, exercise/movement, and creativity into childcare. I worked as a nanny for two years. I graduated from the University of Oregon with degrees in Family and Human Services and Psychology in 2023. I minored in French. I am certified in the state of Oregon as a Qualified Mental Health Associate II (exp. 6/2026). In my spare time, I like to be outside! At the river, in the forest or in the garden, I have lots of knowledge about the natural world to share and spark curiosity in kids. I'm a dancer in a company in town and teach dance classes to youth.
