About Emily

Hello! My name is Emily. I am passionate about creating engaging and effective opportunities for learning through evidence based practices. I'd love to help your learner excel in and enjoy reading and math! A little bit about me: I'm pursuing a PhD in School Psychology and an MS in Special Education. In my program, I have worked with kindergarten through highschool students as a practicum student. I also work as a Graduate Research Fellow where I study intervention efficacy and executive functioning. Prior to moving to Oregon, I completed my Bachelor's degree in psychology, a minor in Neuroscience, and a Certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders at the University of Minnesota. I've volunteered with elementary school children, as a tutor and classroom aid, since 2015. I've served two terms as a literacy and math tutor with Americorps. Additionally, I have worked as a mental health technician in a pediatric day treatment clinic. I've also volunteered as an adult English teacher.
