About Mary

I'm a trauma-informed nanny working in the Villa Heights area. I began my job as the oldest of 4 kids, but I started working as a date night sitter in 2012 and have since grown to become a full time nanny for many large and wonderful families. Some of these children have special needs (ADHD, ODD, FAS) which has opened up something special in my heart and is what motivates me to continue working in childcare. I use a gentle nannying style with the children I care for that let's me create a relationship based on autonomy and choices. I'm a big fan of the Montessori method, which means I will encourage your little ones to develop their creativity and critical thinking skills using reading and sensory play. I adapt these activities to each kid and their needs/interests. My favorite activity this season is a nature walk! I am COVID vaccinated and have been practicing COVID safety since this ordeal has begun. I plan to follow any guidelines the CDC recommends now and in the future
