I love any opportunity to care for my elder community. In 2021, I left my teaching job to care for my grandmother who was living alone and experiencing dementia. I helped with housekeeping, meal prep, took her on nature walks, and spend time connecting with her about her childhood growing up on a farm. This time was incredibly special for both of us and I am so grateful for the lessons and blessings that it brought both of us. I became immensely passionate about dementia care through this experience and have self studied & taken classes to enhance my skills in managing care for those experiencing dementia.
