My experience strongly draws from current work as a live-in caregiver for a 76yr old woman living with Alzheimer's & Crohn's disease/Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Routine activities and care consist of supporting a proper sleep schedule, meals that are mindful of both diseases (supporting optimal brain health and dietary restrictions for the IBS) & administer appropriate medication w/ meals, exercise that is suitable for her age such as longevity stick and Health& Wellness classes, cognizant of any other ailments that may have developed, walking her dog with her twice daily, playing board games or puzzles, laundry, light housekeeping, tending to her garden with her, and some family visits. I maintain regular contact and updates with the other caregivers and family members as desired or needed. Truthfully though, about 40% of my friend group in my city are of the age 65+. My various hobbies attract similar-minded folks, as well as wise-practice of friends of all ages.
