About Emelie

Hello! I have 4 years experience working in a classroom for children ages 1. 5 years old up to 4th grade. I am currently working towards my Teaching License at the PreK/Elementary School level! I am aiming to work with kiddos in elementary school and help with any reading/writing and math. I am Slingerland trained, which is a classroom adaptation of Orton-Gillingham. This is an explicit and multisensory approach to learning phonics based reading and writing. I spent the last school year assistant teaching and tutoring using this approach to learning at a school for kids with dyslexia and other language based learning differences. I had experience working with students with ADHD and other learning differences as well at this time.
