About Ella

Hello! I'm O'Neil (I go by my middle name). I have enjoyed years of babysitting and one year of being Youth Development Professional at the Boys and Girls Club. I'm currently getting my Masters in Teaching with the intention of becoming a public school educator. I have experience working with a variety of children from different backgrounds, behavioral needs, accessibility needs, dietary needs, and ages. Most of my experience is with preteens (ages 10-12), but I adore working with all ages. I also prefer to get to know the family as a unit and not just the children I would be taking care of. I want to be respectful of familial norms and traditions so that we can communicate effectively with one another. I love art, sports, and reading. I'm a big believer in free play as the best early childhood educator, and will always (safely) encourage it! I am more than happy to do crafts, read aloud, or go to the park. Pets are a bonus, too!
