About Elizabeth

Hello! I am a teacher with 25 years of experience. I have taught preschool, kindergarten, third grade, and have been the Director of two Afterschool Programs. Most recently, I completed 14 years teaching at the Extended Day Program at Providence Day School. I have been tutoring for over three years. I have tutored children ages 3 through 12 and am currently tutoring for five families. I have extensive experience in preparing my own curriculum. I have worked with several children with ADHD/learning challenges and tailor my teaching to the child's individual needs and educational challenges. I also have experience with teaching time management, stress reduction skills, and techniques to improve self-esteem and self-image with children who struggle to learn. My teaching approach is structured and warm, using positive reinforcement and clear and consistent directions to help children approach tasks to increase confidence. Thank you, Liz S
