About Elizabeth

I am currently working with the City of Downey for the after school program ASPIRE. I have also worked for the after school program Woodcraft Rangers. I am currently working towards obtaining my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and I plan on going into Child Psychology. I can successfully interact with children and I have also taken multiple child development courses which come to my advantage. The children that I mostly work with are K-3rd, so I would say those grade levels are my expertise. I do tutor children of grade levels K-3rd during the program I work with. I assist children with homework and I also reteach subjects they learned in school but seem to have trouble with. While working under Woodcraft Rangers, some children did require more assistance outside of program hours so I continued tutoring children until parents and teachers saw the improvement they needed. I am very enthusiastic and patient when it comes to working with children. I always aim to find and adapt to the child's learning style in order for them to successfully retain information. I am always open to constructive criticism from parents and I look to have an open communication with parents in order to ensure improvement. I look forward to meeting you and working with your child!
