About Elise

Hi there! My name is elise tomko and my goal as a tutor is to empower students to reach their full potential and help with their day to day academic success. I have up to three years of experience working with kids in an academic setting as well as in a clinical setting through my time working as a behavioral therapist. I have watched students struggle, and then once the difficult information was broken down, I saw growth and improvement and newfound confidence in that student . I believe it is so important to use different forms of study technique such as using visuals or through auditory means because not one learner is the same and it's important to incorporate all different kinds of learning styles. I have a bachelors degree in psychology as well as early childhood education units and I can help with math, science, English, history, and psychology, as well as help with studying for exams or helping with essays. I am excited to see if we can be a good fit!
