I like working with kids because kids are a gift and have such a unique perspective of this world. Creating a safe space for kids is so important to me, as well as being an adult kids feel safe with. I'm looking for a job that is flexible and people centered. I just moved to San Diego and caregiving seems like the perfect opportunity to start work. I started working with kids way back in high school. I have worked with several families as their day sitter and learned how to care for a large age range of kids. Two years ago I interned with an after school program and got to work with 3-8th graders. Just this past year I worked with a fundraising company that goes into elementary schools and teaches character development and leadership!
