My interview with her was fantastic and I was so excited to get started with her as a nanny for my child. We did a paid trial, then scheduled her start date at 7:00 am; on her first day, she notified me 30 mins before her shift and asked to start the following day. I agreed, and then the following day, 3 mins before her shift, she stated she could not work. I gave another chance and scheduled her for a third day, when she arrived 25 minutes late. I clearly stated that for the next shift she needed to be on time (since her tardiness impacts my ability to leave for work). I reiterated the importance of her arriving exactly on time for the next shift and stated I had no backup/alternative for work if she was not on time; she did not show up by her start time on her 4th shift and did not reply to any of my messages until 30 minutes after her missed shift. It was ultimately a no-call/no-show with no explanation. She truly seems like a sweet person, but I gave 4 consecutive chances and unfortunately she is not dependable for childcare.
