About Damaris

I started off as a babysitter when I was about 15 years old and continued until after I graduated from high school. I have experience working with children from newborns to 17 years old. I also have experience with twins and taking care of multiple children at a time. Once I started college I took some time off and knew that my passion was to work with children and that someway I needed to return to that. I decided to volunteer at Lucile Packard's Children's hospital at Stanford and I worked with children from ages 2 to 12 years old. I went to bedside and delivered activities and provided companionship. I really enjoyed it and when I transferred to Sac State I knew I needed to continue. I volunteered at Sutter Children's Center in the year 2016 and loved every minute of it. During my time there I played with children and ran the playroom activities and organized the playroom. In December 2016 I received a Bachelor's in Child Development.
