After years of being a nanny and more recently a classroom preschool teacher, I am pivoting and am in a master's program towards becoming a Speech Language Pathologist. I enjoy getting kids outside. I love to sing; I know a trove of children's songs and sing our way through daily activities and transitions. I treasure reading with children, and with my recent coursework connecting early phonological development and literacy skills I am even more committed to it. She is thoughtful and knowledgeable about child development, and can be playful and silly with the kids! She taught my 3 girls over the past 5 years and often noticed things before I did - favorite color is yellow, need for proprioceptive input, etc. She always met them where they were at, made meaningful connections and offered a warm hug (or high five if that was the vibe.)
