About Claudia

I have extensive experience working with children and families. As an overnight camp counselor, I mentored and supported campers ages six to 13, communicated regularly with parents through weekly updates, and helped create an environment where young girls felt supported, confident, and successful. I taught religious education classes at WHC, where I developed lesson plans, worked closely with students, and collaborated with parents and fellow educators. I was a peer tutor in high school in college and excel in elementary and middle school math, English, and social studies. I worked for five years with a family of refugees from Nepal where I tutored a young boy and worked with his schools' English Second Language program and helped him weekly with his homework as well as helped him learn and strengthen his English skills.
