About Christiane

I was born in Germany, where I graduated high school, and met my husband. At that time I moved to Pittsburgh, where I have been living since 1994. I was lucky enough to be a stay at home mom until my youngest of three started school. I have three children that are 12, 18, and 21. Although I was a stay at home mom, I was able to acquire a few jobs here and there that have helped me gain the necessary experience to attain the job I have now of seven years. I started off watching two children at my house for about two years. After that, once my girls were a little older I Worked at a Childcare Center for about a year and a half while my girls where in school. Lastly I worked at a Childcare Center on Sundays for about two years watching children ages newborn-5 years old while their parents attended mass. I currently have been working at ABC's for Children in Greentree for the last 7 years. I was luckily enough to get experience working with each age group while I was a substitute. For the past year I have been the Afternoon Kindergarten Teacher, as well as one of the After-school Program Teachers. I love working with children to be able to see them grow and develop into their own little person. Now that my children are older, my schedule is more flexible and allows me to find part-time babysitting jobs in the evenings during the week after 6:30 p.m. and on the weekends.
