I recently returned to NC from KS where I worked full-time for the University of KS supporting students as they transitioned into college. I also taught for the English Dept. While I've been working in higher ed for the last 10 years, I have a long history of working with children. I started working with kids as a HS student; I babysat regularly and during the summer I worked as a camp counselor for an overnight camp. I've also have experiencing tutoring. I like working with kids because they live emphatically in the present and nothing limits their imagination. I have so much fun participating in that joy and supporting children in their exploration of the world. One thing you should know about me is I want your child to look forward to spending time together! I'm 100% going to be a partner in fun until it's time to settle into a necessary routine like homework or bedtime wind-down. I want your kid to have a blast and I want you to have peace of mind.

Chelsea is an amazing caregiver; she’s attentive, funny , smart and deals with varying personalities in such a wonderfully respectful manner. My ten year old son and twelve year old daughter were so happy when they knew Chelsea was going to be watching after them. I have never felt so happy and safe to leaving my kiddos with someone that was not family.
