About Cathy

For over 10 years, I have been helping elementary students thrive in Math, English, Science, and Special Education. I hold a graduate degree and am a certified teacher, experienced with Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and student accommodation plans (504). My approach is rooted in the belief that every student possesses unique potential. I adapt my teaching through active listening, observation, and varied strategies to build confidence and foster a love for learning. I keep students motivated by connecting concepts to real-world examples, celebrating successes, and encouraging curiosity. Communication is essential; I prioritize open dialogue with students and parents to ensure optimal progress. Witnessing a student's "aha!" moment is the most rewarding part of tutoring. I'm comfortable tutoring at various locations and would love to partner with you to help your child achieve their academic goals.
