About Catherine

Hi, I'm Catherine Swanson! I've been babysitting for 8-9 years and currently work as a 7th and 8th grade Fitness Teacher, with a strong background in childcare and youth coaching. I've worked as a part-time nanny for a 2- and 4-year-old, babysat children ages 1-12, and coached K-5th grade basketball. I love creating a safe, supportive environment where kids can be themselves, learn, and have fun. I studied Sociology at UC Berkeley and am a certified EMT and BLS provider, strengthening my skills in safety, emergency response, and caregiving. I'm dependable, patient, and compassionate, and I value play, learning through experience, emotional connection, and clear communication with parents. My goal is to provide consistent, loving care that meets each child where they are while encouraging confidence, creativity, and emotional security. I strive to be a trusted support for every family I work with.
